Lead DeveloperJob DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experienced senior developer knowledgeable in the entire software life-cycle to support Regulation. Provide technical leadership to peers and consultants. Develop an understanding of the business in various areas of Regulation and be able to convert needs into user requirements and functional requirements specifications. Hands-on code development; perform code reviews and software life-cycle process improvement Promote code reuse. Ability to leverage platforms and make smart decisions about technology direction is critical. Perform business analysis through frequent interaction with customers in the Market Surveillance and other Regulation divisions. Work with Quality Assurance team to ensure product integrity through development of automated test suites.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and interact effectively with internal customers and management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7+ years of experience in Software Life Cycle development with demonstrated hands-on experience in real-time system design, network programming, shared memory management, application integration middleware and web-services. Strong knowledge and experience in C, C++, Java, Unix/Linux, TIBCO SmartSockets, MQ Series, XML, Websphere, J2EE, JBuilder, JMS, ClearCase, relational DBMS packages such as Sybase, Oracle, etc. is essential. Experience in the financial services and securities industry helpful. Experience with open-source products such as Eclipse, ANT, CVS, Linux, JUNIT preferred.
