The LAN Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and support of multiple LAN Networks, VPN connections for these networks, Window servers, PC workstations, Avaya IP phone system, software package, PLCs, Meters, Access database, remote rail sensing equipment and cell phones.

 

Duties and responsibilities will include- but not be limited to the following:Utilize technical knowledge and skills to support technology currently in use by employees of the companyMaintain and support VPN and LAN equipment and usersProvide full support for Windows Servers including software, hardware, networking and securityResponsible for data security and backupsInstall, configure and support PC workstations and users - new and existingProvide daily support for company phone system wireless phones and liaison with phone vendorActing liaison for all vendors regarding company equipment and systems including third party managed databaseUnderstand and support plant operating software and hardware

 

A winning candidate will possess:2-4 years experience supporting hardware and software applications in a network environmentAssociate Degree in a technical field – MIS, computer technology, etc. (Bachelor Degree may be substituted for some years of experience)Strong Knowledge of LAN and VPN configurationsAbility to resolve software and hardware problems, including structured and non-specific issuesAbility to learn and master new technologies effectively and efficiently
