Junior Quality Assurance Test Engineer



 

DESCRIPTION:

 

The Junior QA Test Engineer reports to the Netsmart Public Health QA Manager.  The QA Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing test cases based on requirements specifications. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop an in-depth knowledge of Netsmart Public Health’s Vital Records product.  Use requirements specifications to develop and execute test cases (manual and automated)Isolate and report software defects using defect tracking toolsDevelop test documentation as requiredProvide recommendations for improving or adding to Netsmart’s quality assurance processes and procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in software quality assurance Minimal troubleshooting skillsBasic understanding of the software development life cycleExcellent written and oral communication skillsFamiliarity with web-based application testing or .NET testing is desirableCan work independently or as a member of a project teamAble to complete tasks on time based on a project plan

 

Education Required:

BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
