Jr. Network Engineer (BM-0909)

ASAP is seeking a Jr. Network Engineer for a 6month/right to hire position in Daytona Beach, FL.

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Integrates network and voice systems into the Healthcare network, which encompasses all locations and Internet access. Provides technical support for network and voice systems, and carries out novel assignments requiring limited supervision.

 

Education, skills, and experience:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of Information Technology or equivalent experience and 5 years experience as a Network Engineer.

2.  CCNA required.

3.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

4.  Advanced knowledge and understanding of a range of networking and voice software and hardware systems and related technologies.

5.  Ability to install, configure, and maintain voice systems, networks, and/or related hardware and software.

6.  Ability to analyze and assess network/voice architecture requirements and determine optimum, cost-effective solutions.

7.  Network and Voice systems planning skills.

8.  Knowledge of network/voice systems infrastructure requirements and standards.

9.  Knowledge of network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.

10.  Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects.

11.  Knowledge of contract documents and specifications.

12.  Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.

13.  Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

14.  Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise

15.  Ability to meet deadlines

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
