Position 1, Permanent position
Software Developer / Maintenance Programmer
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years

Established Software vendor needs a Programmer to support and enhance a suite of j2ee to mainframe adapters. Development is in Java.

Responsibilities:
* Support and enhance a suite of j2ee to mainframe adapters.
* Assist in building tests.
* learn iWay adapter framework and assist in integrating adapters in 3rd party application servers
* Assist and advise pre and post sales support teams on customer issues
* learn details of backend Mainframe systems
* Develop general system design including future system requirements, interfaces and integration points.
* Document architectural issues, including functional and integration problem components

Experience/Skill:
Must have:
* 5+ years of experience in software development Java/J2EE
* Interest in software design and architectural considerations
* Strong analytical skills, including gathering, compiling, and documenting system and technical requirements and writing specifications.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communications skills

Mainframe experience is certainly a plus, but strong developers willing to master new interfaces as needed are encouraged to apply.

Position 2, Permanent position
Job Title: Programmer / Build Specialist
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years

Challenging position within a development team at a Major Integration Software vendor. Java/ant build specialist needed to implement and oversee strategy to unify divergent code lines for a suite of adapters. Learn products and transition to straight development a possibility
Responsibilities:
* Understand and maintain different build systems
* Customize build to meet requirement of delivering products to a variety of platforms
* Handle day to day requests for product builds and patch delivery
* merging changes with SVN and by hand (resolve conflicts)
* Work with product managers and programmers to unify functionally disparate code branches
* Document procedures
Experience/Skill:
Must have
* 5+ years of experience in Java software development
* 2+ years hands-on involvement with build systems and their customization: ant, subversion/CVS experience required
* Strong java development experience: systems level applications, j2ee, jdbc a plus
* Familiarity with some of the following systems a plus: SAP, Siebel, Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, CICS
* Strong analytical skills and motivation

Software Developer / Maintenance Programmer

Responsibilities:

* Support and enhance a suite of adapters, which expose backend system services via XML interfaces
* Assist in building tests
* learn and maintain iWay adapter framework
* Work with product managers evaluating customer issues
* Write specifications for product enhancement

Experience/Skill:

Must have:

* 5+ years of experience in software development Java; j2ee a plus; web services a plus
* 3+ years of experience with jdbc
* Experience with and good understanding of XML application technologies, schema, XSLT, DOM
* Interest in software design and architectural considerations
* Strong analytical skills, including gathering, compiling, and documenting system and technical requirements and writing specifications.

Contract position, 6-12 months in NY

Websphere, Java and Eclipse Developer

Overall 8+ years experience
Minmum 6 years in J2EE required
This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of recent and relevant experience. The skills required are the WebSphere brands of technologies specifically Process Server, Integration Developer, Enterprise Service Bus and Message Broker.

In depth experience in creating and developing SOAP, XML, Web Services based Service Oriented Architectures.

Experience integrating IBM products with enterprise systems.

Good understanding of Quality Assurance cycle including test plans, cases and methods.

Knowledge of WebSphere Integration Developer external service adapters. JCA 1.5 is a plus.

Java development/debugging knowledge. Ability to identify, debug and
diagnose issues.
