Java - Documentum Developer

Aavalar Consulting has contracted by a very unique client in the Western Suburbs of Philadelphia to provide software development consulting services.  We have an immediate need for a Senior level Java J2EE developer who has strong development experience with Documentum. This is a long term contract.

 

Consultant's Title: Java - Documentum Developer

 

Work Location: Western Suburbs of Philadelphia

 

Is Telecommuting possible? No

 

Work environment: Extraordinarily beautiful spacious office space.

 

Who does this position will report to?: Technical Lead for the enterprise system

 

Why is there a need for a consultant/contractor?

> New corporate initiative and growing needs

 

What is the start date of the contract?:  ASAP

 

What is the anticipated length/scope of the contract?:

> 6 month initial to long term

 

What is the size of department?:

> TBD... Pretty dynamic right now

 

What projects will the consultant be involved with?:

> Initial project will be the creation of middleware service that provides a custom structure for various clients to initiate transactions, store secure documents, generate reports, etc.

 

Responsibilities:

> Design, implement, test and document Java code that will use Documentum as the core for a custom application.

 

Role with the group: Senior Developer

 

Required Skills:

> REALLY strong Documentum Development experience, preferably in a large company.

> Senior level Java J2EE development experience in a large scale environment.

> Experience using Java to develop enterprise applications in Documentum.  It is particularly important that candidates for this position understand the following:

  - Hand on development experience with Documentum DFC API  (Documentum Foundation Classes)

  - Documentum security

  - Documentum Cabinet and folder hierarchy

  - Document Query Language ( DQL )

 

Desired Experience:

> Financial Services, Transactional Systems, Tax Systems, Trading Systems

> Development experience with Struts framework

> User Interface experience with HTML and JSP

> Really good written and verbal communication skills

Work Hours and Schedule:  Pretty standard business hours with reasonable flex

 

Is overtime paid, and is it at straight time? Yes.. Straight time

Who is involved in the interview process?

> Generally a group interview lasting a couple hours.  If that goes well you can get started immediately.

 

Target bill rate:  Open... Don't want to exclude any viable candidates
