JUNIOR DB2 DBA

DB2 Admin with 2 years experienceThis position will provide DB2 Administration and Technical problem resolution in support of the Team Lead and all ILA hosting development projects. This is a second shift positionDuties & TasksPerform daily monitoring of DB2 databases.Perform in-depth troubleshooting, and develop action plans to correct system errors.Configure DB2 backups as necessary.Check and validate DB2 backups for disaster recovery.Monitor DB2 databases, servers, and tune as necessary to meet SLA agreements.Monitor DB2 data loads, and tune as necessary.Analyze and recommend DB2 changes, to improve performance.Back up other team members as required.Provide support for end users, customers, and/or developers as needed.Provide weekly report of hours spent in support of each assigned project/programMUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 2ND SHIFTWEEKEND COVERAGE IS REQUIREDNEEDS TO BE ON-CALLMUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERM RESIDENTMUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 2ND SHIFTTHIS IS A MON-FRI 40 HR WEEK BUT MUST BE AVAIL FOR WEEKEND COVERAGE NEEDS TO BE ON-CALL2 YEARS DB2 exp/knowledge. Ability to perform data loads, backups, and restores.Exp.
