Application Infrastructure is the organization which hosts managed services in Middleware, Web Infrastructure, SOA Services and Directory Services. These services are highly automated, in order to allow internal clients to have as much control over their applications as possible, within a secure and resilient environment. Middleware Managed Services (MMS) provides middleware messaging products such as TIBCO Enterprise Message Service, TIBCO Rendezvous(RV), IBM Websphere MQ and more.The infrastructure is used by different business lines within the Bank to run critical systems such as Foreign Exchange trading. Position Description We are looking for someone to join the Middleware Managed Services engineering team in a senior role to lead the strategy and future development of our Messaging middleware services.You are an excellent communicator, able to work under pressure, self-starter. We seek someone who has a very good knowledge of Java Message Service (JMS) concepts, experience of setting up TIBCO servers,tuning / optimising latency sensitive applications with respect to EMS and preferably other messaging technologies. You should be a hands on technical team leader.You will also be comfortable on the Unix command line, and will have a good understanding of one or more flavours of Unix / Linux.
