Intermediate Project Manager

Position Description:
We require an intermediate level Project Manager to assist the Senior Project/Change Manager responsible for a portfolio of projects in support of the client’s internal transformation and the integration of multiple programs.

Required Level of Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or Business or Diploma in IT and/or Business with Equivalent IT Experience
• PMP Certified

Key Responsibilities:
During the early stages of the project and under the direction of the Senior Project/Change Manager, they will assist with the creation of a project plan, including definition of scope and the identification of risks, and will be responsible for the documentation of the Project Charter. They will also be responsible for implementing required project management processes. Ongoing and working closely with the Senior Project/Change Manager, they will be responsible for managing the project plan, managing project logs, compiling status, and highlighting risks/issues requiring immediate attention/escalation.

Required experience/skills:
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Senior Project/Change Manager and with Business Project Leads from multiple clients
• Strong project planning capability and demonstrated experience in managing dependencies, risks, issues, and schedule for medium-sized (or larger) projects
• Ability to develop a Project Charter
• Experience with the use of Microsoft Project as a tracking tool
• Good presentation and written communication skills for both senior management and staff level audiences

Optional experience/skills:
• Working with teams that are geographically dispersed and include part time team members
• Experience with developing and/or implementing policy changes in large organizations
