Position Description:Integration Software Administrator/ArchitectSummary Description:Design, implement, and support our internal and external applications integration platforms. This includes one platform for internal enterprise application integrations (EAI) and two platforms for external business to business (B2B) integrations. The EAI platform is based on IBM WebSphere MQ and Message Broker software. The two B2B platforms are based on Sterling Gentran and Software AG webMethods Integration Server software respectively.Major Job Responsibilities:• Install/configure/maintain IBM Websphere MQ and WebSphere Message Broker software in a Unix (AIX) environment.• Install/configure/maintain IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE software used to monitor the WebSphere Message Broker environment. • Install/configure/maintain Sterling Gentran EDI software in a Windows Server environment.• Install/configure/maintain Software AG’s webMethods Integration Server and Trading Networks software in a Windows Server environment.• Maintenance of the software environments includes:• Planning and implementing upgrades• Applying service pack/fixes to the software• Assessing the impact of infrastructure changes on the integration environments and putting together a plan to deal with the impact.• Troubleshooting operational problems occurring within the environments• Design and implement the system architectures for the 3 integration platforms. Create and maintain system architecture diagrams to document the environments.• Understand the vendors’ product roadmaps for the software and create a plan for adopting new versions, updates, and fixes to the software.• Participate in the definition and periodic refinement of the overall integration strategy for IT. Articulate a vision of how our current integration platforms can play a key role in a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).• Provide 24x7 on-call support for the WebSphere MQ/Message Broker production environment every 3rd week. Support incidents outside normal business hours are occasional in frequency. An additional stipend is provided for the on-call support.• Ensure adequate disaster recovery environments and plans are in place for the three integration platforms.• Develop and implement best practices for introducing changes into the integration environments. • Must be able to work cooperatively with other team members.• Must have demonstrated ability to meet deliverable commitments.• Work safely and comply with dept. requirements for safety meetings, ergonomic audits, and corporate requirements for legal compliance training.Minimum experience required• 2+ years experience administering WebSphere MQ/Message Broker v6.x environments on a Unix OS.• 1+ years supporting integrations involving:• SAP ERP and HR modules using the MQ Link for SAP R/3 and the WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software.• WebSphere Message Broker NEON formatter.• 2+ years experience administering enterprise class applications on the Windows Server OS.Education/experience desired• Experience administering webMethods Integration Sever v.6.5 environment.• Experience administering Gentran v5.x environment.• B.S. degree in a technical major, preferably computer science.Specific Skills/Knowledge required• Unix (AIX preferred) and Windows Server administration experience.• Basic understanding of B2B transactions, XML, data mapping, process modeling, developing message and process flows within the integration tools.• Some knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts.
