Integration Developer - Houston TX or Dallas TX - PERM

Modis is one of the world’s largest providers of information technology staffing services and solutions.  Currently we have more than 6,000 information technology professionals on assignment worldwide.  We serve more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Position Summary: This integration developer will be responsible for analyzing client requirements, developing application integration programs/utilities and providing expertise to the implementation department. This person will design and develop interfaces between client systems (ERPs, AR, AP, etc.) and our client’s commercial software applications.   Duties and Responsibilities: Produce code that meets the customer's needs, by focusing on testing, re-factoring and internal communication Maintain a high quality of product reliability and performance by developing unit tests Follow and contribute to the guidelines set by the software development team, as well as the practices set forth by the implementation department Implement only what coding is necessary, to keep the project as simple and as valuable as possible for the customer Provide input and ideas for design and code changes to be implementing in upcoming releases Communicate openly and often with appropriate internal team members and client personnel to understand needs, concerns and assist in making accurate scheduling decisions Provide timely status on work in progress to implementation department Provide accurate estimates for proposed work and recommend potential alternatives when appropriate  Professional Requirements: Minimum of 3 years development experience Minimum of 1 year client facing support or consulting role Experience with developing to changing requirements Experience with at least one of the following: SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase Experience with integrating software to some type of ERP package: SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle a plus .NET or Java skills Bachelor degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related field Strong communications skills (within the team and with internal and external customers) Project management experience a plus Successful experience working as part of a team Ability to handle competing priorities Ability to travel up to 25% Company: Modis, Inc.
