Insurance Network Analyst
Primary Purpose:Responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of the Insurance Sagitta Automation system to include daily responsibilities for the system, as well as, ongoing project oriented conversions, software maintenance and information security, in order that customer service quality is maintained at an acceptable level. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Evaluate the needs, coordinate the ordering and installation of all equipment, cabling, data circuits, and software for moves and additions of equipment. Coordinate all system related item/tasks prior to each agency conversion by communicating with Insurance Services employees. Evaluate, test and coordinate all software releases with and through the Insurance Implementation Manager, Insurance Production Manager and Insurance Network Manager to ensure proper implementation and communication of changes. Assist in maintaining Insurance Hardware/Software inventory by updating database with information on any changes or upgrades to hardware or software on BB&T Insurance Equipment. Maintain a current and thorough understanding of the hardware and connectivity used in the Insurance Services Applications. Constantly stay abreast of technology and the availability of technology in conjunction with BB&T IT personnel. Maintain any IT related designations through continuing education as required. Maintain Insurance license through continuing education as required. Provide daily systems communication support as needed in conjunction with the Help Desk. Maintain a complete understanding of all third party software and coordinate the installation of all “approved” third party software programs. Assist Insurance Operations Manager and Insurance Network Manager with the development and maintenance of total and comprehensive hardware/equipment Disaster Recovery Plan.Required Skills and Competencies:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
