The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst at PEAK6 who will participate in and at times lead projects to identify risks in PEAK6 infrastructure, applications, and processes and make the appropriate recommendations for mitigating identified risks.

 

Core Responsibilities

· Identify, evaluate, and deploy new security tools and technologies

· Review security logs for anomalies and known security events or targeted attacks

· Perform infrastructure and application risk assessments

· Work with application and infrastructure teams to identify and mitigate security assessment findings

· Participate in forensics investigations

· Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing

· Escalate and drive resolution of security issues as appropriate

· Contribute to the development of security policies and training

 

Technical knowledge and Experience and Educational Requirements:

· BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar or comparable work experience

· 0-2 years experience with application security concepts and assessment strategies

· Experience with Security technologies and standards, including but not limited to Intrusion Prevention, Log Aggregation and Correlation (SIM), Vulnerability Management, Antivirus, and Encryption

· Software design and development experience as well as a solid scripting skills

· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and business management

· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent desired
