Job Category:Project/Program Management Primary Location:USA-VA: VIRGINIA-CHANTILLYSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 2008-09-05Description: Immediate Opportunity for Jr Level Personnel Security Investigation Case Initiator with Current Top Secret or SSBI in Chantilly, VA Essential Job Functions Accurately enters customer's personnel security data in CSC's I2G BI case management system. Carefully scans all investigative documents and forwards to Case Analysts. Responsible for management of a secure case file repository. Assists in establishing objectives for small to medium sized projects to achieve business results by established, critical dates. Assists in coordinating deliverables for small to medium sized projects. Ensures adherence to schedules, deadlines, and products. Escalates matters of significance as appropriate. Assists in monitoring and redefining project objectives to respond to changes in the business environment. Provides requested data or information to support changes. Assist in coordinating inter-project dependencies, resource allocation, release planning, technology and architecture to meet business needs. Assists in planning, coordinating, and monitoring of the budget for a small to medium sized projects to ensure cost effectiveness. Monitors progress of project requirements and provides reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees, and business function managers to support projects in achieving the intended business results. Interacts with client program sponsor and program steering board to communicate program issues and progress. Assists in coordinating change in project direction, scope, benefits, costs, and timing while minimizing financial risks. Ensures adherence to same. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in preferred Zero or more years of experience in pertinent national security Executive Orders, Office of Personnel Management background investigative policies to include in-depth knowledge of applicable security forms and documentationEquivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for degree. Other Qualifications Strong verbal and written skills are vital to regularly communicate to CSC staff as well as client agency. Keeps management informed of issues effecting the timely assignment of cases. Advises management of any concerns gleaned through regular contact with customer agency and CSC staff so that issues may be addressed.
