IT jobs USA: Business Intelligence Lead - OBIEE Architect
BI Lead / OBIEE Architect responsible for overall business and presentation layer architecture while provides leadership, guidance and direction to the team. This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Other responsibilities include:
- Set or enforce Data Delivery/reporting standards and architecture for the project.
- Select appropriate reporting tool interface and techniques as necessary.
- Ensure that the Reporting requirements are adequately understood and documented.
- Design the Reporting application architecture based on the documented requirements.
- If the warehouse has multiple Data Delivery tools/interfaces, determine the most appropriate for each requirement and ensure consistent application of business rules.
- Assist in the development of the Data Delivery Application and lead the Data Delivery development team.
Required skills/experience:
- At least 5 years experience as the OBIEE Lead / architect
- Experience working with user groups and development of prototype applications
- Extensive experience working with various BI tools ( OBIEE 10.x and 11.x required)
- Extensive experience with relational databases (Oracle Required)
- Experience in managing and coordinating small teams
- Experience in developing best practices for reports and RPD Development, Standards and enforcing guidelines for OBIEE.
- Ability to train and coach client and team members
Preferred skills/experience:
- Healthcare provider billing, claims or payer experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA X12 Standards
- Microsoft BI Reporting tools
- Exposure to ETL Tools
- Creates solutions to business problems through the use of technology
- Understands the products and services offered in a specific technical area
- Ensures technical integration of applications Understands business issues and objectives and uses this knowledge to guide option specification, analysis, recommendations, and solution design
- Functions effectively as a senior contributor in structuring and developing complex technical or business analyses
- May manage small teams
- Collaborates in a team setting, leading and facilitating discussion
- Produces quality deliverables on time within defined technical or functional areas
- Able to communicate effectively with team members and clients on substantive project matters
- Assists senior consultants and team leads in management tasks
- Takes direction on business goals and objectives and responds effectively in development and communication of work product
- Able to present work products, conclusions, and recommendations in small group settings
