IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician will provide efficient technical support for Husky Vermont’s end users to include resolution of issues involving computer hardware, software, networks, and peripheral equipment and will act as the primary customer contact for the Information Systems Dept. This person will provide the 1st and 2nd level of support for end users, take responsibility for support calls received by phone, email and the call tracking system to include initiating and recording all issues and resolutions in the system. The IT Support Technician is responsible for developing and implementing standard practices for maintaining and troubleshooting both hardware and software as well as operational controls and procedures that effectively meet corporate standards. This position is expected to provide on-call availability on a rotating schedule, telecommunications support as needed, and global help desk support. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, configuring, managing and supporting software products such as Microsoft Office and various Microsoft Windows OS versions, as well as workstations, printers and network servers. A strong ability to utilize existing technology to automate support work is preferred. AS in computer-related field and 2 or more years in a Help Desk/IT Support role preferred.
