IT SECURITY ANALYST

The SECURITY ANALYST will participate in the creation and administration of uniform hospital data security policies and procedures.  Perform periodic security reviews of existing information systems for compliance with hospital security policies and procedures and security architecture.  Assist requirements and solution definition process for new hospital information systems.  Audit accesses to patient and corporate data on request from duly authorized hospital management.  Performs and/or supervises security or vulnerability scans of servers and researches and recommends remediation patches.

 

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, informatics, or equivalent.  MBA or CPA degree a plus.  Security certifications from SANS or equivalent.

· Demonstrated understanding of network security monitoring, analysis, management and configuration tools .

· Demonstrated experience in computer/network security, operating systems such as UNIX and NT, LAN/WAN networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, PKI, and encryption.

· Practical understanding of information security concepts and methodologies, and security principles, such as authentication, authorization, access controls, and protection strategies.

· At least 1-3 years experience as security specialist with knowledge in solution design, deployment, and operations in desktop, server, network and server technologies.

· Proficient with office automation, project management and communication tools.

· Ability to work with system administrators to standardize departmental based information systems security.

· Able to collaborate with colleagues and share information, resources, and ideas.
