What will you do as an IBM GBS Consultant?

Please note: This requisition is for positions starting in 2012.

Application Innovation Services (AIS) is a Service Line within GBS that delivers innovative technology-enabled business solutions for our clients. From Smarter Commerce to Cloud Solutions, AIS is looking for students with a strong foundation of Java development skills with full life cycle application development experience. These technical skills are required in addition to what we look for in an IBM Consultant (section above). Travel requirements also apply and AIS bases its new university hires in either Chicago, Atlanta or Boston.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to work in the U.S. without current/future need for IBM sponsorship

Reside within 50 miles or less – of one of the following cities: Atlanta, Boston, or Chicago.


Required
High School Diploma/GED
At least 6 months experience in and a strong foundation of Java development
Basic knowledge in and a strong understanding of full life cycle application development
Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
English: Basic knowledge


Preferred
Basic knowledge in and a demonstrated history of achievement in academics, internships, co-ops and/or work experience, preferably involving business and technical coursework.
English : Intermediate
