Mindbank Consulting Group in Reston, VA. We have a direct client who is looking for an IA Policy/Procedure Writer/Analyst and Engineer to fill a position with the US Forest Service. Location: Herndon, VA and weekly travel to Arlington.

Client: A rapidly expanding Information Assurance company headquartered in Herndon, VA

helping to ensure that their Civilian Government Agency clients manage their day-to-day security practices and evolve easily and effectively as changes in security postures occur.

The company defines success as reducing the paperwork burden for their clients and streamlining their security and compliance activities.

End Client: An agency of the US Department of Agriculture which manages the National Forests with a budget of $4 billion and 30,000 employees.

Terms of Project: 6 month hourly contract (straight time for OT). Because the client is growing rapidly and acquiring a lot of Civilian Government IA business, contract-to-hire is a possibility.

Logistics: 5 day work week.

Rate: $45-$50/hr.

 

Required:

·         Bachelor’s degree.

·         3 years of IA experience.

·         Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, and OMB Information Assurance requirements.

·         Specific knowledge of NIST SP800-53.

·         Experience with HSPD-12, SmartCard implementation, and Wireless WAN implementation.

·         Ability to document findings and interpretations in layman’s terms.

·         Ability to follow direction and take guidance from the Project Manager.

 

Preferred:

·         Security or technical certification.

 

Job Description

·         Create policy based on federal requirements of FISMA, NIST, FIPS, and OMB Information Assurance requirements.

·         Communicate with client to develop procedures to comply with existing policy, incorporating practices currently in use.

·         Augment existing procedures to meet new policies.

·         Review, edit, and quality check work of team members.
