Human Resources Information System Specialist

TechTeam Goverment Solutions, Inc., a leading IT solutions company that provides IT infrastructure support, information assurance, managed services, and applications services support to DoD, federal, state, and local governments, is currently in search of an Human Resources Information System Specialist to join our team at our headquarters in Chantilly, VA. 

 

We are seeking an HRIS professional that will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, currency and legal compliance of human resourses information in the company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). He or she will create and provide reports of human resources information to various internal clients while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and assist in the design and modification of the system to conform to the requirements of both internal and external (vendor) users.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintains HR-related information including data entry, retrieval and generation of standard and ad-hoc reports in support of human resources administration.

2. Serves as a point of contact in support of HRIS production issues and provides troubleshooting support to field HRIS users.

3. Serves as liaison with third-party vendors for data transmission and receipt.

4. Coordinates activities with other internal departments such as payroll, time and attendance, accounting, etc.

5. Assists in translating business requirements to the IT team.

6. Supports functional system testing in conjunction with system modifications and implementations.

7. Maintains and updates all HR/Compensation/Benefit tables and set-up for annual open enrollment.

8. Conducts training for HRIS users and participates in the preparation and issuance of HRIS user manuals.

9. Maintains personnel records and files in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

 

Required Job-Related Qualifications:

1. High School diploma and seven years of human resources experience to include five years of prior HRIS experience. Query report writing experience required.

2. A general understanding of one or more commerical human resources information products and experience in database construction.

3. Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills.

4. High degree of personal and technical communication skills.

5. Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information.

6. Experience with PeopleSoft HRIS.
