GENERAL SUMMARY

 

Business Knowledge Services, Inc. is looking for a high energy Systems Administrator to provide top notch support operational services for its hosting environment and infrastructure. Responsibilities include management of the network and security of all infrastructures, trouble shooting and resolution of Server issues. Requires at least 3 to 5 years of systems/network administration experience.  Must be a local candidate.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Designs, builds, researches, analyzes, configures, troubleshoots and maintains systems in the Hosting environment Performs implementation tasks related to new deployments Troubleshoots network and system performance issues Performs proactive testing of the disaster recovery plan Performs OS hardening, server design and engineering for supportability, application installations, security management, and business continuance testing Makes upgrades as necessary Documents all systems, applications, security, and network configurations

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

 Software skill set - Windows and Linux Operating systems. Experience and/or familiarity with the following applications: Weblogic, Cognos, LDAP, Oracle Experience with hosting enterprise level applications in either a system admin or technical support role Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT field

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSMust be able to prioritize and meet deadlines Able to work and contribute to a team environment Strong diagnostic and trouble shooting skills Flexible, detail oriented and organized with the ability to multitask and work independently Able to work and contribute to a team environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience in IT environment Experience with Hosting environmentsLocal Candidates onlyNo Third Party candidates, please
