Hardware Tester / Developer / Windows - 2 Positions available - long term contract

Modis is one of the world’s largest providers of information technology staffing services and solutions.  Currently we have more than 6,000 information technology professionals on assignment worldwide.  We serve more than 1,500 clients throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.Location:  HoustonDuration: 1 + yearRate:  $50 max bill Job Description #1Develop and maintain the firmware flash tools that are delivered to its customers in support of the NAS/SAN product family.  The candidate will be expected to work with various Windows source code projects to provide updated built software deliverables.  As well as this candidate will be expected to work with other software development teams and test teams and provide developer debugging for root cause determination.  Position requires knowledge of software application development, graphical user interface design and development using industry standard tools, integration of software drivers with Microsoft operating systems, installation of OS required components, and an understanding of how all of these components interact with other software delivery tools. Must have: The client would prefer that all of the resources above have storage experience· 3+ years C / C++ programming · 3+ years Manual Application Testing · Experience with x32, x64 server platforms (Must have)· Knowledge of development in Windows environment· Experience with Windows GUI development. · PERL Scripting ExperienceApplication developer thaty has hardware testing experienceNice to have (not required): SCSI – These candidates will be given preference iSCSI CIM (Common Information Model) CIMOM (CIM Object Manager) SMI-S Knowledge of MSA Storage Products Knowledge of using FC HBA drivers in Linux Experience with IA64 server platforms Knowledge of HP ProLiant Smart Component deliverable model.
