Hands-on Senior Windows/Intel Integration/Support. Seeking the best!
Are you the best at what you do in your organization? Are you the person other managers call when they need challenging problems solved? Do people trust you to do the right things for them? Are you responsive, and able to prioritize and differentiate between urgent and important? Do you distinguish technology solutions from business solutions? When people ask for a technology do you ask "why" they think they need it, seek to understand client needs and objectives and consider alternative technologies before you design or implement a solution? When undertaking problem resolution, do you consider whether replacement or alternative technology is a viable alternative to a fix? If you answered yes to these questions, then you may have the aptitude and attitude to function as an IT consultant.
NST Systems, Inc., is a boutique consulting firm in Stamford, CT who specializes in high-quality IT support and consulting services primarily to small and mid-sized companies. We are NOT recruiters nor are we a staffing agency. We are hiring full-time permanent NST staff members, who provide onsite and remote services to our clients on an as-needed basis. We pride ourselves in the integrity of our relationships with our fellow employees and with our clients.
We have openings to support our continued growth. This is a stable situation for the talented employee who contributes to our success.... Our company has been in business for more than 14 years in the same location.
The ideal candidate may have been an IT Director in a small or mid-size company and has around 10 or more years professional IT infrastructure and support experience. We and our clients are lean and efficient -- there is nobody else to delegate to. We're seeking the type of person who can wear multiple hats, is hands-on and who has outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to converse well with end users. You must be willing and able to do everything from help-desk to network design and IT strategy, and explain solutions in a way that addresses business needs with clarity and brevity. You'll roll up your sleeves and be able to delve deeply into those technologies; to be the hands-on implementer and ongoing supporter of the solutions you design.
Our clients have sophisticated needs, and we provide professional assistance to design, implement and support their systems. We are their professional IT Department and we engage clients who allow us to play an active long-term role in their IT Management strategy. Some of our clients have a limited IT staff and need us to provide strategic depth and breadth, and as a problem escalation resource. Others have little or no expertise, except as end-users, and expect us to provide full life-cycle IT recommendations, design implementation and ongoing support for the various solutions they need.
We promote solid long-term relationships with our clients and among our internal staff. Honesty, sharing of information and a forthright style are important -- along with the ability to manage ourselves and our commitments so that we consistently meet or exceed expectations.
Availability and response is important, so you must live within close range of our Stamford location. The ideal candidate is technically advanced and 'hands-on' in working with the following product technologies (and related technologies): Windows XP Pro and Vista Business, Windows 2003/2008, Exchange 2003/2007, SQL 2003/2005, IIS, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Kaseya, Norton Ghost, Backup Exec, VPN, Terminal Server, server clustering and RAID. Also; advanced firewall experience, and advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory, IP routing and network security, Internet and email/DNS troubleshooting.
We offer salary commensurate with experience and ability. Performance bonuses are offered, and other benefits include major medical insurance, company-paid life insurance, long-term disability insurance, 401k and company-paid technical training/certification tests. NST Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
Please apply in-confidence with your resume and salary requirements.
