HR Business Partner

CGI Federal is seeking an HR Business Partner for a growing team within a stable organization. We are looking for an independent, self starter who is comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and handling day-to-day HR functions as well as partnering with our senior leadership team to help drive their strategic vision. This includes employee relations, workforce management, reporting, compensation management, trend/survey analysis, and performance management. This person will also advise senior leadership on relevant Human Resources policies and procedures as well as the impact of legislation, regulations, and precedents on the organization. Experience in OD would be preferred.

Roles and responsibilities would include:

Managing employee relation issues, to include managing poor performance, managing conflict and assessing risk (escalating issues to legal as necessary).

Managing metrics and trend analysis of data; working closely with line management to support strategic business decisions.

Actively advising and/or providing guidance to line management on annual performance and compensation management programs and practice.

Limited travel is required to other CGI locations as needed.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have 4+ years of demonstrated success providing HR Business Partner support to a large number of clients in a Federal contracting environment. This person will be an independent self starter, and will have very little supervision. Candidates must demonstrate how they have successfully used their influencing skills to assist with and manage complex HR related issues, and how they manage relationships with key leadership decision makers. Candidates must also demonstrate a thorough knowledge and familiarity with employment laws and regulations with the best candidates having their PHR/SPHR certification. Strong oral and written communication will be a key to success. Finally, all candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a related area or the equivalent work experience. Experience supporting an SCA non-exempt population is also a plus.
