HL-7/Java Developer and/or Senior Software Engineer

 

Overview

As member of the client's team, the Java programmer will be working on cutting edge technology to build SOA-based solution frameworks to send, receive and process HL-7 messages. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and be able to deliver high quality code with minimum directions and hand-holding.

 

Requirements5+ years of hands-on project experience in Java programming with the Sun ICAN or JCAPS Good Fundamental skills in data structures and algorithms Experience in Healthcare ETL environments Experience developing and deploying computer system interfaces based on the ANSI messaging standard - HL7 V2.x and V3.0 Minimum Intermediate level in Core Java concepts and coding expected. Working knowledge RDBMS and SQL, prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle are preferred Experience in working with ODBC database connectivity and database stored procedures in the ICAN or JCAPS environment is preferred Knowledge of UML Modeling, Design Patterns/Anti-Patterns Good time management skills, a self starter and good communication skills

 

The job will require a series of one-on-one as well as group interviews.  The candidate will be required to work in the MedPlus Seattle office during their orientation period. Following successful completion of their orientation candidates may work a scheduled on-site, off-site rotation.
