Global IT/Business Process Manager

Global engineering and construction (E&C) company is expanding their global IT functional team that is focused on designing and implementing enhanced business process and technology solutions that provide support for the company’s worldwide E&C operations.  This position will have particular focus on the supply chain management (SCM) aspect of these operations and will responsible for working with business process leaders and senior management to evaluate existing business operations, processes and systems and identify strategies and opportunities to design and implement more effective processes and deliver enhanced systems solutions. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

· Provide subject matter expertise in E&C and SCM related business processes and reporting

· Provide project management over a portfolio of applications supporting E&C business operations

· Consult and work directly with executive and senior level business management to identify and document current business processes

· Participate in business strategy and planning initiatives to gain an understanding of business direction and provide feedback related to how the current information technology environment can support new business ventures and initiatives

· Use proven processes and best practices to identify and define business process improvement opportunities

· Evaluate industry and technology trends and assess new opportunities to improve existing and/or planned business processes and operations

· Evaluate current systems used to support business processes and assess the effectiveness of these systems in providing timely, accurate and integrated information for management decision making

· Analyze, document and present recommendations for enhancing current business processes through enhanced use of E&C related business systems and information technology

· Provide leadership and change management support for the design and implementation of new systems, enhancements to existing systems, and/or business process changes

· Develop documentation including business cases, scope of work, functional requirements, system integration maps, high-level project needs, and project plans related to changes to business operations

· Act in a liaison capacity with the corporate IT organization to ensure effective communication of business needs and verification that solutions proposed and/or delivered by the IT organization are aligned with the business and meet the stated business objectives

 

Experience Requirements

 

· 8+ years IT industry experience

· 5+ years experience working in a project management and application development and support role

· 3+ years experience working in an IT capacity within the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry

· Demonstrated subject matter expertise in SCM related processes including but not limited to one or more of the following: procurement, inventory management, materials planning, supplier management, or logistics

· 3+ years designing, implementing and supporting SCM related applications

· Preferred experience with Oracle based technologies and custom developed applications using Oracle Forms and Reports
