Fully Cleared Senior WEB DESIGNER
Web Designer - Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code for components of the website. Works with graphic designers and other members of a project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. Responsible for interface implementation. Requires strong navigation and site design instincts. Shall develop, implement, and maintain OVPI and, to a lesser extent, other EMSrelated sites. There is one primary web site, but it consists of many different pages. Updates should be expected to total about 10 pages per week. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years experience.
Additional Requirements :
a. Must be able to use both Unix and NT desktop platforms. The network performance tools are based on Unix, (Sun Solaris);
b. Must have knowledge of WAN/LAN/CAN technologies;
c. Must have expert knowledge of SNMP protocols and standard MIBs;
d. Must have working experience in pro-active network management techniques and best practices;
e. Must have a good knowledge of the CISCO Works tools set and the CISCO WAN Manager tool;
f. Must have knowledge of Ethernet (Shared and Switched 10/100/1000Mb), FDDI, serial (HDLC);
g. Must have expert knowledge of ATM technology (familiar with ATM congestion techniques, ATM cell header bit settings etc. (EPD, PPD, CLP bit, EFCI bit); familiar with the different layers of the ATM stack (physical, ATM, AAL);
h. Need to have knowledge of Cisco BPX, MGX, and IGX equipment / networking;
i. Must have good knowledge of VoIP technologies;
j. Must have strong network background;
k. Familiarity with the Opnet tool is highly desirable;
l. Familiarity with CISCO’s IP-SLA feature is desirable;
m. Must be self driven, minimum supervision;
n. Need to be analytical thinker;
o. Must have ability to use and understand Shell / Perl scripts;
p. Requires the understanding and possess the fundamentals of using specific Unix based tools (Solaris) to include SNMP V1/V2 (mib-2 standard objects and private enterprise mibs, Cisco, Stratacom, etc), SyBase isql usage, HPOpenView NNM and PI, HTML, Shell and Perl scripts, sh, csh, TrendSnmp, and Remedy;
q. Provide briefings and/or demos as required;
r. Attend meetings when required;
s. Provide monthly status reports on tasks performed;
t. Provide input for the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating
Procedures and “solutions” for T3331;
u. Ensure all applicable instructions, policies, and directives are followed when addressing issues on networks with varying classification levels;
v. Utilize Government provided tools, to include, but not limited to, HP Openview products, CISCO WAN Manager, CISCO Works, N.E.T. Panavue Management System, GEMS, Service on Demand, REMEDY
