Field Technical Analyst.
Position will be located in Mt. Prospect, IL
SUMMARY
Provide level one and two support for problem resolution for PC Desktop, PC Server, LAN, WAN, field applications, telecommunications, Exchange Mail, VAX/VMS, system management, Windows OS and printer maintenance. Microsoft Office Suite user support and hardware repairs and user upgrades.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide level two support for problem resolution for PC Desktop, PC Server, LAN, WAN, filed applications, data warehouse, telecommunications, PC Mail, VAX/VMS, system management, Windows OS and printer maintenance.
· Excellent customer interfacing skills.
· Able to work with minimum supervision
· Reliability, attendance/punctuality is crucial
· Monitor all production job streams for field clusters and PCLAN servers and intervene accordingly.
· Perform restores of files from backup tapes.
· Perform system backups for all systems, VAX/VMS and PC/LAN servers.
· Monitor month-end process and programs.
· Monitor system and printer performance for VAX/VMS, LAN and PC servers.
· Print and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports.
· Coordinate maintenance or installation of equipment and/or software.
· Learn the business and the technical environment at Apria/Coram
· Familiarity with building cabling (voice and data) a plus.
· Project management experience/skills a plus
· Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel 25% to 50% at times.Ability to be on call 24/7/365Able to travel (10-20%) up to 50%.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum A+ Certification, additional certifications desired
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
