Field Service Technician (ON SITE)

 

Education: AS or AA in Computer Science; Electronic Engineering, + formal training multiple products

Experience: two - three years field experience and/or equivalent in basic electronics

Abilities:

(a) provide installs, moves, adds and changes to computer equipment and phone equipment.

(b)   makes appropriate use of technical documentation, specialized test equipment and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems;

(c)   interprets logic diagrams both analog and digital;

(d)   possess a basic understanding of  data communications;

(e)   apply a logical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving and have mechanical aptitude;

(f)   assist in and resolve problems referred by the second level help desk;

(g)   possess a basic understanding of product specific software and operating  systems;

(h)   prioritize and manage own workload;

(i)   courteous, helpful and tactful in all communications;

(j)   assist  and instruct customer in the basic use of his/her End User Machine/Software;

(k)   detect and correct basic End User Machine/Software errors;

(l)   requires limited technical support and assistance; and

(m)   possess a basic knowledge of the End User environment.

(n) Able to lift 50lbs.

(0)  Stand for extended period of time. 10% local travel..
