Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations and installation, and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications. Provides software development and consultation to prospective users. May build mini-applications based on computer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of application.Job Duties: Developing pre and post sale activities to include: demos, proof of concept evaluations (POC) and training and professional services. Responding to Requests for Proposals (RFP). Coordinating account strategies with Sales. Providing technical feedback to Development team. Creating technical solutions for customers’ business problems. Consulting with customers on implementation issues.Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or applicable major and 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or related position in the SOA or Web services area. Experience in all or most of the following is required: Background in Java or .Net development Web services technologies and their technologies - WSDL, SOAP, XML Experience with XML, XPath and XSLT Experience with Application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, IIS, etc. Experience with WS-Security, Authentication, Authorization, Cryptography, etc. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, including presentation skills. The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is also required.
