Job Category:Base/Range Operatioins Primary Location:USA-FL: FLORIDA-PATRICK AFBSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:Regular No Job Posting: 2008-08-14Description: Essential Job Functions Performs all aspects of maintenance on various types of heavy equipment and vehicles to include cranes, marine equipment, and aggregate processing equipment, electrical system, engines, drive trains, steering systems, fuel systems and air conditioning systems. Diagnoses malfunctions and perform necessary repairs utilizing tools and test equipment. Overhauls engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components. Performs fieldwork on all support equipment. Assists with training others as required. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Vehicle or equipment maintenance trade school, factory training, and air conditioning service certifications preferred.Five plus years of mechanical experience, including vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Experience working with all vehicle systems, and equipment computer control systems. Other Qualifications Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and be able to diagnose problems utilizing test equipment and precision measuring equipment Ability to make repairs on diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical and drive train systems Ability to understand technical manuals and references Ability to work in a team environment Must have valid US driver's license and US passport. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Naturalization.
