Entry/Jr. Level Help Desk Engineer (3+ MONTH CONTRACT)

 

·  Provide Level -1 on-call and desk side technical support.

·  Monitor and respond to support calls within required SLA’s.

·  Procure desktop hardware and soft as required to support new hires and replacements.

·  Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user desktops and software.

·  Diagnose issues with client application software and hardware.

·  Install and configure messaging and printer systems.

·  Ensure connectivity of all workstations.

·  Input and manage Asset data.

·  Assist in the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and associated training plans.

·  Document installation procedures for client software and hardware.

·  Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

·  Perform network audits.

·  Perform, monitor and maintain system backups.

 

·  Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems.

·  Application support experience.

·  Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.

·  Should be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of hardware/software products.

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.

·  Knowledge of Servers, PC workstations, and laptops.

·  Ability to manage vendors through procurement and support processes.

·  Positive team oriented attitude, and excellent customer service skills.

·  Good written and verbal communication skills.

·  Strong customer service orientation.

·  Self motivated

·  Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively with little or no assistance.

·  Multi-task oriented with good organizational skills

·  Travel as required, up to 25%

·  Ability to interface with hardware and software for the purpose of configuration, monitoring, and reporting.  To include movement and mounting of hardware up to 100lbs or 45.5kg.
