Enterprise Application Manager ASP.NET Developer / SQL Server DBA
Start right away with this exciting opportunity to be part of the Technology Department at New Trier High School!
This is a hands-on, technically challenging job supporting a robust technology infrastructure. The Enterprise Applications Manager (EAM) is responsible for the District's enterprise applications, including the student information, financial management, business process/workflow, course management and electronic timekeeping systems. This includes supervising a team that will maintain the back-end of these systems and in some cases provide end-user support. The role of the EAM includes managerial, organizational, and technical components; this individual will be the senior technical expert on all of these systems, and will be intimately aware of their operation and the underlying technology that supports them. It is expected that the EAM will spend the majority of their time focusing on technical issues, such as database administration and systems development and the remainder of their time on managerial/organizational issues.

Hiring range of $75,000 - $95,000 plus excellent benefits including health, dental, and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and flexible spending account opportunities.

Position Expectations:1. Technical    a.Provide advanced technical expertise in SQL Server database administration, and .Net/ASP development in support of business process/workflow systems.    b.Define, plan and develop workflow projects using business process software.    c.Administer the student information system and other SQL server databases.    d.Administer the financial information system Informix database.     e.Possess in-depth knowledge on the functionality and databases of numerous data-driven technical systems, including the business process/workflow, course management, document archiving, content, student, and financial management software; including how these systems interface and move data between each other.

2. Management and Coordination:    a. Supervise and coordinate the work of the Programmer and Systems Support Specialist.    b. Provide advanced technical support and leadership for all aspects of the Enterprise Systems Group's operations.    c. Act as a liaison (in conjunction with other members of the Enterprise Systems team) to other groups that interface with the systems, including the Assistant Principals, Director of Business Services, and Instructional Technology team.    d. Develop procedures and documentation for system processes; develop a system to ensure procedures and documentation is created for all relevant processes and procedures.    e. In conjunction with the Director of Technology and other technology managers, develop a strategic direction for each of the major systems (Student, Financial, etc) and work to implement projects that achieve the identified goals by planning and completing projects.    f. Develop a system to track projects and tasks; report to the Director on a regular basis with the status of projects and other tasks.    g. Coordinate with the other members of the technology management team on upgrades, maintenance, and support.     h. Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations for improving systems and operations.3. Continue job performance enhancement by participating in appropriate professional growth activities.4. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combined education and experience is required2. 4-6 years experience in a related field, preferably Microsoft SQL Server database administration and .Net (ASP) development.3. Microsoft .Net/ASP and SQL Server Certification.4. Expert technical knowledge in multiple key areas: administering databases, .Net/ASP, and workflow/ business process software.5. Experience in developing documentation and procedures.6. Ability to manage multiple, complex projects; multi-task; meet frequent deadlines.7. Strong managerial and organizational skills; experience managing and developing staff is preferred.8. Ability to work independently, demonstrate exemplary interpersonal skills, communicate clearly in person and over the telephone with staff, students, parents, and the public and be customer-service oriented.9. Positive attitude and project a positive image of the District to staff and others.
