JOB PURPOSE

Provides technical development/support to departmental personnel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·  BS in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)

·  Minimum of 8 years IT experience or equivalent work experience in a relevant environment

·  Must have the ability to design systems and solutions using a mix of operating system components at the forefront of technology

·  Proficient in OOD, XML schema, WSDL, XSLT, Java, SQL, Web Services/SOAP, Apache/Tomcat + AXIS, Ant, JUnit, Unix/Linux

·  Familiar with one Java API for XML Binding

·  Eclipse, CVS, Python/PERL/SITA HMM a plus

·  Demonstrates aggressive initiative

·  Ability to work in cross LOB/BU development teams with other SITA staff in Europe and with offshore vendors

·  Knowledge of standard engineering principles, theories, concepts and techniques

·  Understanding of system integration and hardware issues

·  Practical understanding of SITA methodologies and practices (or ability to rapidly acquire them)

·  Knowledgeable about SITA architecture direction, policies and practices (or ability to rapidly acquire them)
