Employee Relations Manager

 

The functions of this position include responsibility for interpreting and recommending program goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, and courses of action.  The incumbent is responsible for managing the employee relations activities according to established guidelines and sound administrative practices; and interfacing with employees, management, and clients on a regular basis.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Helps employees and supervisors to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation with the guidance of the HR director.

· Recommends solutions when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends.

· Participates in quality assurance activities.

· Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company’s standards.

· Recommends program goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.

· Manage and coordinate the employee performance review process. Responsible for the recommendation, hiring, promotion, termination, disciplinary, and commendatory actions of all assigned personnel.

· Conducts exit interviews to determine if corrective action may retain valued employees. Compile and discusses exit interview findings with HR director.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Must possess experience in management/leadership roles including team leadership, project management and people management

· Must possess knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management.

· Must have a broad understanding of technology and the roles, processes and responsibilities of IT organizations

· Must have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of modern office management and recordkeeping.

· Must be able to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.

· Must have a proven ability to multi-task and be successful in highly dynamic roles where priorities shift on a frequent basis

· Must be able to prepare comprehensive reports and represent ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

· Must have the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

· Minimum of 10 years overall business experience in leadership or management roles.

· Must possess 5 or more years of experience in the consulting industry.

· A Bachelors degree is required.
