Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical department is responsible for the state of the art electronics and electrical design for CT scanner development Your Responsibilities: - General high speed digital circuit design and development.- High speed serial communication system design and development.- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on High Speed data and High Power rotary joint systems.- Generate and provide vendor with specifications, test procedures, and acceptance specifications for High Speed data and High Power rotary joint subsystems. Conduct acceptance testing and design verification- Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, testing and prototype fabrication. Provides design information to drafting for packaging and documentation. Your Profile: - Minimum Bachelor degree in EE- 3+ years of relevent work and hands on design experience- Excellent skills in HDL programming, familiar with Altera and Xilinx FPGAs- Familiar with high speed serial communication protocols/ standards and testing such as Industrial Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Optics, etc.- Proficient in Hyperlinx, Pspice, Hspice, Matlab, ViewDraw- Experience in EMC/ESD design techniques and testing- Ability to use and specify test equipment for evaluation of high speed serial designs including BER test equipment, high speed oscilloscopes and communication signal analyzers, optical power measuring equipment, TDR's- High voltage and high power system design experience a plus- Mechatronic systems simulation abiity a plus- Experience in medical equipment design and regulatory requirements a plus Contacts: Philips Notes Philips is an equal opportunity employer.
