ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:
Collecting and documenting detailed functional requirements for K-12 business intelligence systems. This includes conducting joint application design sessions with end users to gather and prioritize the requirements for portals, reports and analytic tools. Producing high quality documentation of meeting minutes, reports functional requirements, security requirements, and design guidelines. Managing and contributing to proposals for K-12 education systems including data warehouses and business intelligence reporting systems. Research a specific organization’s reporting needs and produce reporting and portal requirements that would meet the needs for that specific organization. Manage the process of building K-12 reporting demos and presenting these demos for potential clients.Training and developing coursework for basic and advanced end users of business intelligence systems. This includes teaching users how to run reports, conduct ad hoc analysis, and use the advanced features of the system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. BA or BS with 5+ years of experience in the K-12 education industry as a teacher, education administrator, or consultant.
2. Experience with and understanding of specific education industry data topics including No Child Left Behind (NCLB), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Title I, Title III, student assessments and testing evaluation, or Annual Yearly Progress (AYP).
3. Experience with student longitudinal data reporting and business intelligence systems at the state, district, or school level.
4. Experience with the eScholar Complete Data Warehouse preferred.
5. Experience implementing ETL using the Student Interoperability Framework (SIF) specification preferred.
