Reviews materials for inconsistencies of thought, development or organization and makes recommendations for corrections or corrects as appropriate; confers with authors to recommend treatment of material. Researches, writes and proofreads more complex print and electronic copy for internal and external communications. Reorganizes, eliminates or rewrites various types of documents as appropriate to ensure consistency of thought and organization. Tracks and monitors flow of documents from inception to distribution of final copies; provides quality assurance checks for document deliverables. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field preferred Zero or more years of editorial experience Experience working with graphics, word processing, and other communications software Experience working with editing practices and procedures Experience working with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure Other Qualifications Editorial and proofreading skills Good communication skills Analytical and problem solving skills Good personal computer and business solutions software skills Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Secret Create Success
