EDI Programmer Analyst

Seeking an experienced Electronic Data Interchange Interface/Application Developer to provide support for current interfaces, to work with the business to develop new interfaces and grow E-commerce within the company.  The EDI developer position requires an individual with multi language and multi platform development ability. The strongest candidate will be one who enjoys being challenged, has a passion for development and works well in a team-based environment.  The candidate will be responsible for creating, configuring, mapping and maintaining data exchange interfaces between disparate systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: o Monitor all inbound and outbound transactions processed through the Infor Commerce Connect gateway in use by the company.o Work with trading partners to resolve any operational issues.o Interface with business operating software for seamless integration and transmission of documents.o Create new EDI X12 maps based on specific implementation guidelines using a proprietary COTs product.o Maintain existing EDI X12 maps with changes identified by trading partners or the business.o Participate in and contribute to the design and documentation of new functionality.o Work with project managers and other corporate resources to code new functionality and enhancements required to integrate transmissions into the proprietary ERP system.o Analyze, test and implement software upgrades to third party COTs products used for E-commerce.o Assist EDI Coordinator and EDI analyst as necessary in researching technical issues.o Responsible for programming responsibilities within Infor Commerce Connect and Application Integrator.o Participates in preparation and execution of system test plans.o Interact with a variety of internal and external customers.o Prepares programs and routines for audit and control.o Other duties assigned by company management. Experience / Requirements: o Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Technology.  Applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.o 4 or more years in a programming environment designing, coding and testing custom modifications and applications; 3-5 years EDI experience (specifically X12 standards).o Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.o Strong communication, problem solving and logic skills.o Exercise sound judgment to manage the day-to-day activities and expectations.o Ability to work alone or in a team-oriented environment.o Ability to deal with stressful situations in a composed and constructive manner.o Detail oriented.o Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.o Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.o Outstanding ability to acquire and apply new technical and industry knowledge quickly.o Demonstrated knowledge of Visual Studio (especially visual basic and .net), XML, SQL, Java, and Microsoft Access, Windows operating systems.o Knowledge of communication protocols and encryption to include but not limited to ftp, AS2 and PGP.o Knowledge of the following software packages is preferred but not necessary: Infor Commerce Connect, Infor NxTrend, GXS Trade Guide and GXS Application Integrator.
