EDI Electronic Enrollment Specialist

Applicants are considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristics protected by law.Position DescriptionFacilitate the implementation of electronic file processing for new and existing accounts, file formats include EDI 834 and other proprietary formatsResponsibilities Serve as the member enrollment specialist for accounts who choose to submit their membership in an electronic format (vs. paper) Provide technical support to Sales group to help finalize sales, with specific focus on the EDI 834 transaction Work closely with accounts, BCBSMA Account Executives and vendors to guide them through the implementation process Coordinate the activities for all parties involved (account's benefit department, MIS personnel, systems integrators, other carriers) Train accounts on the FileLink process and reports.and train peers/customers on the EDI 834 transaction specifications Develop and document business requirements in support of the conversion of an account's format to our standard format Develop and execute test plans. Analyze test results and document findings for account education Verify all communication links and interfaces are working correctly and communicated appropriately Perform audits on existing accounts converting to electronic processing, and analyze results Provide status reports reflecting accounts in pipeline, implementation status, problems encountered/resolved)Qualifications Prior EDI experience.834 is a big plus Flexibility in terms of managing many accounts with unique requirements Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong product testing skills Proven ability to communicate with customers, technical staff and non-technical staff Experience reviewing technical specifications Strong team player with ability to motivate/influence others Familiarity, or strong potential to learn, the EDI 834 specifications/standard Ability to run/debug files 4 years college degree and/or equivalent business experience, preferably in a Computer Science related field 3 ' 5 years analytical/technical experience desired Prior account management experience a plus in terms of understanding, and delivering against, the customer's membership submission requirements Experience in managing external vendor relationships a plus Experience in developing/reviewing technical specifications a plus Experience with the EDI 834 transaction set, or other EDI transactions Experience with Mercator 6.7 and/or other translation software a plus Position Information Location:  Quincy, MA 02171 Job Category:  IT/Software Development Reference Code:  bcbs-00001820 Our commitment to building a diverse workplace is without question.
