Documentum Application Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Responsible for the development, maintenance and administration of Documentum and related tools through established application development processes.

· Works with replication related activities and troubleshooting replication issues.

· Work with Documentum architectural initiatives including consolidation of tools, repositories.

· Architect and develop custom tools.

· Identify, research, and resolve application issues.

· Define instructions and establish guidelines to perform support

· Answer questions from functional users.

· Under guidance, provide assistance to 3rd line support with changes to the Documentum environment.

· Assist the end users with software installations and upgrades.

· Discover, troubleshoot and fix Documentum technical issues.

· Create and maintain user accounts, cabinets, permission sets and jobs.

· Contribute to root cause analysis for any technical issues.

· Report progress and issues in accordance with the established status reporting process.

· Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.

· Support custom applications.

· Ability to work weekends and/or variable hours

· Ability to respond to 7x24 on-call issues

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

· 5-7 years of experience

· Documentum Desktop/WebTop Clients (5.2.5 / 5.3 / Familiarity with 6.1SP1)

· Experience with the Oracle Application Servers

· In-depth understanding of Documentum concepts and architecture including security and administration.

· In-depth experience with Documentum Administrator (creating methods and jobs like replication, SCS, custom Java methods, etc.)

· In-depth understanding of distributed content such as Replication, BOCS.

· In-depth experience with migration between different versions.

· Experience with DQL/API.

· Analytical/problem solving skills to independently troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 Documentum issues.

· Expertise with developing custom applications using Documentum Web Developer Kit (WDK) and/or .NET.

· Documentum Certification is preferred.

· MS Office products.

· Problem solving skills.

· Excellent communications skills and ability to interface with the business community.

· Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
