Disaster Recovery Team Lead

Paradigm Solutions is currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Team Lead will be to support and provide assistance related to the physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets from an enterprise perspective, and to coordinate the activities of a team of three other analysts. Concentrated functional areas of job performance will include supporting the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and projects, establishment and conduct of training programs, execution of assessments and audits, creation of emergency preparedness plans and other related documentation, and incident management during emergencies that impact organizational assets or employees.  This is a Full Time position located in Northern Virginia.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:Leads the creation, coordination, and implementation of occupant emergency/safety policies and procedures.Leads the creation, coordination, and implementation of incident management procedures and assists program leadership with incident management responsibilities.Leads other analysts engaged in continuity of operations (COOP), information technology (IT) contingency planning, and occupant emergency planning activities.Assists with the assessment and evaluation of security and life-safety systems, processes and initiatives to reduce risks, liability exposure, and to control losses. Conducts employee security and safety education and awareness training programs through establishment and creation of training publications, materials, web portal information, hosting workshops and seminars. Assists in the administration and evaluation of emergency plans and execution of office safety programs. This includes the recruitment and training of floor safety wardens, providing instruction on CPR, first aid, and emergency response training, and coordination of building evacuation drills and planning exercises. Provides support in the conduct of security and safety assessments, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations with a focus on risk mitigation. Assists in the conduct of investigations, coordination of special events, services and incident responses. Participates in the strategic planning and implementation of corporate security and safety program initiatives. Perform other related tasks and special projects as required and assigned.

Experience:Minimum of three-five years of related emergency planning/management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year’s experience managing others in a professional work environment, preferably in emergency management or a related discipline.Minimum two years of project management experience, including staffing, task management, budget/cost management, and requirements gathering/assessmentKnowledge of and experience with federal and private sector guidance related to emergency response, continuity of operations, and disaster recovery.Professional certifications and credentials desired, such as: CBCP, CEM, etc.Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, presentation, customer service and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite). Ability to develop training materials, programs and conduct staff training.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of emergency management/planning best practices. Ability to multi-task, work independently, with a team and across functional areas.
