Liberty Mutual Information Systems is actively searching for a Director of Security Architecture. As Director of Security Architcture you will be responsible for the management and evolution of the Enterprise Security and security architecture within the Enterprise. You will work with Strategic Business Units (SBUs) security practitioners, architects, infrastructure engineers, applications staff, business partners and other stakeholders across all to establish organizational priorities for the security of Liberty Mutual’s computing environment while also striving to enable architectures that are modular and vendor-independent for maximum flexibility. You will Influence senior leaders and all levels of business and IT staff on all areas of the security architecture, including policies, standards, strategies, and governance. As a member of the I/S team you’ll be engaged in meaningful work for an organization that is committed to “helping people live safer, more secure lives” every day. Responsibilities: Leads portfolio management, strategy and change; large scale composite initiatives; influencing the way business is done, not just technology. Establishes technology direction for security infrastructure, platforms, products, and tools. Develops and implements a security architecture for use within the Enterprise.. Understands advocates, and augments the Information Security Policy and associated Standards that have been adopted by the enterprise. Analyzes technology industry and market trends, determine potential impact, and articulates risk in business terms. Assess the impact of emerging security threats on the enterprise risk level. Recommends technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate in the business plans. Participates in the design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring compliance with the security architecture. Oversees the evaluation and selection of security products and security service providers. Leads teams and has direct managerial responsibilities for high-level technical staff. Hires and manages a team of high-level technical staff responsible for developing and delivering products and services. Defines objectives and development plans in alignment with IS and business objectives. Manages team to achieve business results. Manages on-demand resource needs and ensures the right staff is in place to support operational needs. Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline; Master's preferred. 15 years of architecture experience in security operations in a complex, multi platform distributed environment. Exposure to layered solutions and designs, diverse technical configurations, multiple technologies and processing environments. Experience in several platforms or technologies; experience in delivering solutions across multiple technologies; understands impact on other areas; extensive experience with model driven approaches. Possess strong working knowledge security policies and standards and acts as an expert reference and leader for the strategic business unit. Thorough knowledge of all components of security architecture. Thorough knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes. Thorough knowledge of financial models and budgeting. Thorough understanding of business operations, objectives and strategies including but not limited to, insurance industry, financial services, global business and technology trends. Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
