Job Description:

Desktop Support Technician is responsible for the day-to-day management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of workstation systems and environments, including hardware and software. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and peripherals to ensure optimal workstation performance. The qualified candidate will also troubleshoot problems (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance. The qualified candidate will be junior level and will work closely with Software Engineer and IT Manager.

Skills/Qualifications:Solid desktop support and troubleshooting skills, including hands-on experience with a variety of hardware platforms running Windows Operating systemsPrevious Windows 2K, 2K3 experience required.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Strong in Windows servers, applications, and have 1-2 years of desktop support or helpdesk experience.Strong in MS Office 2007Configuration of mobile devices such as PDA’s, Smartphones, and Symbol barcode scanning devices is preferredHighly motivated and independent worker who is not shy about tackling tasks they do not immediately understandA+ Certification helpfulKnowledge of digital phone systems a plusAssociates' Degree or Bachelor's preferred; Certifications considered
