Do you have a passion for data?  Do you have a strong working knowledge of various databases?  If so, come join our growing IT Team as a database developer!

 

The Database Developer’s role is to develop data access tier components for production databases.  This includes stored procedures, triggers, views as well as middle-tier components utilizing technologies such as Hibernate.  Additionally, this role will utilize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract, transform and load data from OLTP systems to OLAP systems.  The OLAP systems utilize Microsoft Analysis Services (MSAS) and the successful candidate will be able to design, load and report from MSAS warehouse.  Additional duties include using various development languages to crate utilities and automation processes for the movement of data and the rendering/scheduling of reports.

 College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.Working technical experience with relational database design as well as dimensional database design.Experience with data flow diagrams.Project management experience.Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.Good written and oral communication skills.Strong technical documentation skills.Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required.Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Open source database experience a plus.
