SUMMARY
BuildLinks is looking for a Database Architect/Administrator whose last project was with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and has exposure to Microsoft Server 2008. The Database Architect’s role is to design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune the next generation of our production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and its accompanying software
RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop and implement database solutions using SQL server (creating tables, performance tuning, writing stored procedures).Monitor and optimize physical data storage for database systems.Develop and evolve the logical and physical database design for our application. Create data models and conceptual models.Provide optimization and performance tuning for all database designs.Provide technical leadership to the team in all aspects of database design, structure, and usageWork with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.Be the first responder to database problems, 24x7x365Provide expertise and develop strategies for incorporating technological advances into products.Maintain up-to-date knowledge with current and emerging database technologies.Provide feedback on functionality requests regarding feasibility and complexity.
QUALIFICATIONS5 years + SQL server experience. Extensive hands-on experience in designing and tuning data models and hardware for performanceKnowledge of disaster recovery, real-time replication, and other DBA skillsSolid experience working with developers to create database designs based on their features.Ability to manage tasks and work independently and provide development estimates.Must be an expert in SQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures, reports, database design and performance tuning. Experience designing, developing or implementing J2EE-based enterprise class software applications is required. 3+ years experience supporting, developing and implementing CRM application.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data modeling tools. BSCS, BSEE or equivalent years of work experience.
