EOE M/F/D/V Data Communications Analyst Evaluates, designs, implements, and maintains existing and new data communications systems and services. Prepares detailed specifications, diagrams, and documentation for telecommunication’s systems. Monitors the operation of telecommunications systems and interfaces with clients and vendors as needed. Works with the Data Security department to ensure security policies are in place on the Internetwork infrastructure. ¨ Support Securitas’ Virtual Private Network – this includes installing, monitoring and troubleshooting of VPN hardware and software connections through Checkpoint SmartCenter and various in-house tools. ¨ Work with communication vendors to order, install, manage and trouble-shoot broadband connections for the two Operation Center’s as well as 350 remote branch offices. Broadband connections include SDSL, HSDSL, Cable Modem and dedicated Internet T1 services.¨ Check Point Firewall administration, support and configuration to include managing firewall rule base, creating and pushing policy to two Operation Center clusters as well as remote field office cluster that includes 350 Check Point Edge global appliances.¨ Administer and monitor QOS on Internet connections in the Operation Center’s and 350 remote field offices with Check Point products Floodgate and Traffic Shaper.¨ Manage and support the MPLS private IP network between Operation Center’s and remote field offices. This includes edge Cisco routers, QOS queues, and the utilization of the Visual Up-Time tool.¨ Support a video-conferencing network that includes national and international end points running Tandberg 3000MXP units over VPN, ISDN and MPLS networks. Manage, trouble-shoot and generate reports utilizing TMS (Tandberg Management Suite). ¨ Support BACKUP connections to Operation’s Centers which includes Cisco RAS and Cisco Secure in the Operation’s Centers, and internal modems, Microsoft dial-up networking software and POTS lines in the field offices. Additionally includes a wireless option which is a Top Global wireless endpoint solution that utilizes Sprint and Verizon Wireless EV-DO networks as well as at&t’s HSDPA/UMTS network.¨ Support Portal communication’s infrastructure which includes Cisco routers, edge gateways including Check Point FW-1, VPN-1, Integrity Clientless Security (ICS), Smart Defense, Web Intelligence, and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).¨ Manage and support a parallel Securitas Solution’s network which includes a broadband connection from a client site or branch office, a Smartvue DVM and wireless camera system, a central Insight management server, a Check Point Safe@Office appliance and the central Sofaware Management Portal (SMP).¨ Execute financial transmissions according to daily, weekly and monthly schedules.¨ Execute Help Desk tickets in support of all data requirements for the Operation’s Centers and remote field offices. ¨ Monitor and execute ASR requests in the Datacom queue.¨ Support Cisco routers and switches associated with WAN links (MPLS, Internet, etc…) ¨ Ensure Securitas offices are utilizing the appropriate Securitas WAN standard products in the field.¨ Interface with communication’s service providers/equipment vendors to order new services, track installations, trouble-shoot problems and ensure WAN is performing optimally.¨ Create and update documentation for Securitas WAN including network diagrams, databases, etc… ¨ Maintain up-to-date firmware/software/maintenance releases.¨ Monitor network performance and make recommendations to improve resource availability.¨ Provide 24/7 on call availability.¨ Support Internet Domain Name structure in conjunction with Internet provider.¨ Provide WAN representation and guidance within Securitas projects.¨ Prepare, monitor, and manage projects and project plans and provide training where required.¨ Travel to remote field offices to provide technical assistance with their data communication’s needs as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:¨ Bachelors Degree and 1-2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company¨ Experience with Checkpoint FW-1 and VPN-1 products and tools¨ Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows XP ¨ Experience supporting a VPN and an MPLS infrastructure¨ Experience with Cisco networking equipment (routers and switches)¨ Experience with voice and data telecommunications services and providers¨ In depth understanding of IP addressing¨ Ability to write technical documentation¨ Ability to interface with customers displaying good customer service skills¨ Ability to organize and perform job duties within a constantly changing environment¨ Ability to interact with and oversee vendors¨ Ability to write a project plan and manage the project and resources to satisfactory completion¨ CCNA, CCSA, CCSE and an MCSE is a plus¨ Ability to analyze data and services and make appropriate recommendations to improve service/reduce cost EOE/AA M/F/D/V Interested and qualified applicants, please forward your resumes for consideration via email, fax, or mail.
