DATA WAREHOUSE/COGNOS DEVELOPER

Develop, implement, and support the BI environment…Pyramid Consulting Group has a Pittsburgh client with an immediate need for an experienced DATA WAREHOUSE/COGNOS DEVELOPER.

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of programming with Oracle database technology and have a thorough understanding of application development standards and methodologies. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms; the ability to work on multiple assignments, and to effectively participate in teams comprised of IT professionals, developers, and business unit personnel; knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Mining terminology and concepts is strongly desired; knowledge of the Cognos reporting suite of tools, the UNIX operating environment, SQL Navigator, and the Microsoft application development tools VB, ASP, SQL Server and .Net are desirable but not required. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio and related tool set would be a plus.
A Bachelor's degree in a computer related discipline is required. The candidate must have a strong analytical background in problem investigation and resolution and have a least five years work experience.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. This is a contract-to-hire position
