Location: Los Angeles, CA 90001
CGI is seeking a Data Architect to join our West Coast Public Sector group located in Los Angeles, CA.
The Data Architect is responsible for logical, conceptual & physical design of Data Warehouse, Cognos Framework Manager Models, to support ERP implementation utilizing the Cognos suite of products. The position requires interaction with system architects and end users to evolve the reporting strategy and data warehouse integration strategy. This individual will be the key contributor to advance the current data warehouse implementation.
Requirements:
- Must be knowledgeable in various data warehouse architecture approaches. Strong conceptual and analytical skills are required.
- Technical Leadership - Strong Technical knowledge of ETL, Data Warehouse, Meta Data, Databases and analytics (tools and architecture).
- 5+ years COGNOS experience in Powerplay Transfer, Impromptu Administrator
- Expertise on Cognos Reportnet - application configuration, framework build/updates and report writing
- 7+ years Experience in Cognos, Data Modeling and SQL.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills with Oracle 8i
- 2+ years COGNOS experience in Decision Stream
- Experience developing and maintaining daily processing on a medium-large data warehouse
- Star Schema database design skills
- Framework Manager Model design & implementation
- Familiarity with Oracle Replication technology a plus
- Experience with Business Objects and other reporting technologies a plus
- College Degree required. 5+ years experience in a consulting environment
