Essential Job Functions: Accreditation Representatives (Rep) are generally our most experienced C&A practitioners and serve as technical experts in information technology analysis with responsibility for the evaluation and integration of technical, operations, and management security controls. The Accreditation Rep is expected to provide technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management, technical specialists, and policy specialists on critical IT, information security and information assurance issues. They also assist in policy and procedures development, and provide oversight of systems certification and accreditation efforts. They can also provide input and assistance with enterprise security operations and assurance management, as requested. Early in the C&A process, the Accreditation Rep supports decisions regarding the identification of Levels of Concern and the associated security requirements. They are also responsible for assuring that risks have been adequately identified and for reviewing and evaluating certification and risk mitigation recommendations. Other Qualifications Strong communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve network/operating system security issues Ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments Ability to administer the operations of a security infrastructure Ability to balance and prioritize work Basic Qualifications First-hand familiarity with Federal Certification and Accreditation standards is required. Candidates should also have experience in the analyses of technical evaluations in the certification process, conducting Business Case Analyses, preparing and conducting briefings, and preparing risk management or acceptance plans. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred Nine or more years of experience in the Information Security field Experience working with federal regulations related to information security (FISMA, Computer security Act, etc.) Experience working with NIST Special Publications and C & A process methodology, including NIACAP, DCID 6/3, and DCID 6/9 Security certifications (CISSP, CCNA, etc) a plus ACTIVE TS/SCI security clearance Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:TS/SCI Create Success
